KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Promote & comply with safety instructions and other Company HSE procedures in all EPC activities.
  • Carry out work in compliance with company values, policies and regulations.
  • Anticipate offshore activities and ensure Contractors commence the preparation of the critical offshore activities on time.
  • In case of drift in schedule, liaise with other teams involved (engineering, construction, commissioning) and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Promote a “no change policy” to meet budget and schedule constraint without impairing quality and safety of the EPC activities.
  • Assist Project Management to compile dossier and make presentation to obtain all necessary internal (validation committees) and external (Shareholders) approvals for Project contracting strategy and contract awards,
  • Manage Detail Engineering of EPC progress including follow-up of engineering and vendor documentation reviews to ensure compliance with design dossier, SOR, Company specifications, corporate standard and HSE regulation, international codes and classification society rules.
  • Promote value engineering with FEED Engineer in the facility design with objective to reduce Project capital expenditures.
  • Ensure, in collaboration with Engineering Manager, that EPC engineering deliverables produced by /EPC contractors are properly assigned to and reviewed by appropriately qualified Project personnel within the specified time period.
  • Assist EPC contract management with regards to all technical, commercial and contractual issues arising during EPC Works execution and liaise with EPC Lead on regular basis.
  • Encourage identification of any optimization / improvement in the design dossier to be implemented in the early stage of concept design.
  • Ensure that EPC queries are reviewed and responded to in a timely manner.
  • Ensure implementation of the design change process affecting EPC activities.
  • Attend HAZID/ HAZOP/ Project Technical reviews sessions with company, Contractors and vendors teams.
  • Ensure engineering support to construction and commissioning teams as required.
  • Promote alternatives solutions to reduce and to optimise the duration for offshore installation.
  • Ensure close coordination within the team on all engineering and operational issues.
  • Participate and/or manage weekly and monthly meetings with Contractor(s), and call specific ad hoc meetings as required.
  • Ensure Company participation in equipment FAT, SAT and other inspections at site/vendor premises as required.
  • Participate on follow up on the Project progress and risk reporting.
  • Anticipate interface-related problems and propose technical solutions.
  • Achieve project objectives in terms of schedule, cost, and quality.
  • EPC contract management and execution until Project Close out.

 QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering.
  • At least 15 years’ experience in the offshore oil & gas project with minimum 5 years’ experience as Project Engineer.
  • At least 10 years’ experience at senior level within large multinational team.
  • Available for technical missions worldwide with the ability to work on complex projects.
  • Strong leadership skills and good communication skills,
  • H2S OPITO and T-BOSIET training.
