JOB PURPOSE:

  • Oversee engineering processes and implement process optimization through plant performance evaluations. Provide technical inputs and monitor plant projects to meet engineering standards and to support process safety initiatives as part of the company goals, targets, and objectives.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Operational Excellence and Process Safety
  • Provide technical inputs and evaluating recommendations to ensure operational feasibility and compliance to safety standards.
  • Investigate incidents, provide and evaluate recommendations to ensure timely implementation of the process.
  • Process Optimization and Plant Performance Evaluations
  • Implement Advance Process Control System through proper awareness and specialization to optimize the process.
  • Monitor the plant parameters daily and evaluate the plant performance by providing recommendations in order to improve technical processes.
  • Manage material and energy balance, compare with design and assist the plant management in facilitating processes to run the plant efficiently and economically.
  • Provide engineering assistance on technical aspects to the Operations Group, conduct evaluation and selection of equipment based on technical requirements to meet engineering standards.
  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for the continuous improvement of technical department’s systems, policies, processes and practices taking into account ‘international leading practices’ in order to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Provide critical input to support the development of Engineering systems, policies, processes, and procedures in order to meet business requirements.
  • Ensure team members comply with all Engineering policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
  • Prepare relative reports in a timely and accurate manner in order to meet the departmental requirements, policies and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and relevant quality, health, safety, security and environmental procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety and delivery of high-quality products/services.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or master’s degree in chemical engineering.
  • Total of 7-10 years of experience in Oil & gas or Petrochemicals Industry in Process Engineering.
  • HYSYS Modelling for design.
  • Advance Process Control System (linear and nonlinear) design.
  • High level of Process engineering design and feasibility study.
  • Simulation Tool – HYSYS/ASPEN/Pro II.
  • Basic proficiency in Conversant with International Standards.
